This one makes up to 486 hp and 418 lb-ft of torque. If you're planning to race, you might want to swing for the highest engine option Ford is offering. This upgraded 5.0L V8 is only available on the Dark Horse trim, and while still street-legal, it holds its own on the race track, making an even 500 hp.

When you're on the race track, you can even leverage the Mustang's available adrenaline-boosting Drift Brake to maximize your fun and lock up the rear wheels. Did someone say donuts? There is also standard line lock when you want to warm up the rear tires. Overall, the 2024 Mustang offers drivers a "smooth by design" ride. Every inch has been calibrated by Ford's engineers to be responsive on the track and minimize any bumps you might find on the open road.
